Token transfer

Sign and send tokens

Solana

Token transfer sends a quantity of one Solana token to another wallet. The mint, decimal count, and token program must describe the same token.

Try it step by step#

  1. On devnet, choose a token and test owner with a balance. Enter the recipient wallet and the token’s mint.
  2. Set the actual Decimals and Token Program for that mint. For a 6-decimal token, enter Amount 1.25 to send one and a quarter tokens.
  3. Run once, inspect the source and destination token accounts, then read the destination balance.

What to expect#

The example amount becomes amountRaw: "1250000". The output includes the mint, sourceTokenAccount, destinationTokenAccount, and transactionSignature.

Things to check#

  • Do not guess decimals from a token’s name. An incorrect scale changes the raw amount.
  • The recipient is a wallet; the resulting token account is a separate address.
  • The sender needs SOL for fees in addition to the tokens being sent.

Parameters#

SettingDefaultWhat it does
RPC URL{{global.chains.solana.rpcUrl}}Configured for Solana in workspace RPC settings.
CommitmentconfirmedHow far a Solana block must be confirmed before its data is used.
Owner Wallet{{global.main_wallet}}Wallet address that owns the token accounts or positions to use.
Recipient Wallet—Recipient wallet. The transfer uses a token account for that wallet and mint.
Mint Address—Token mint identifying the coin. This is not a wallet or pool address.
Source Token Account—Token account to debit. Leave empty to use the owner’s associated token account.
Amount—Decimal amount in input-token units, before conversion to the smallest units.
Decimals6Number of fractional digits supported by the token. Use the mint’s actual value for transfers.
Token Programtoken2022Token program that owns this mint: Token-2022 or the original token program.
Signing LayerautoSigning provider to use. Auto selects an available provider for this run.
Skip PreflightfalseSkip the RPC preflight check before sending. Keep this off while learning.
ConfirmfalseWait for transaction confirmation after submission.
On failurestopChoose whether a failed execution stops the workflow or only ends this path.
Retry attempts0How many additional attempts to make after the first failure.
