SOL transfer

Sign and send SOL

Solana

SOL transfer builds, signs, and submits a native SOL transfer. Learn the address and amount fields using two wallets you control on devnet.

Try it step by step#

  1. Select devnet, a funded test sender, and a test recipient. Confirm the runtime has access to the sender’s signing provider.
  2. Set Amount SOL to 0.001 and leave Lamports empty. Review both addresses before running once.
  3. Inspect transactionSignature, then read the recipient’s SOL balance to check the result.

What to expect#

0.001 SOL is 1000000 lamports. The output identifies from, to, lamports, and transactionSignature. Network fees are separate from the sent amount.

Things to check#

  • If Lamports is filled, it takes precedence over Amount SOL. Choose one amount field.
  • Keep enough SOL in the sender for fees.
  • Submission and confirmation are different stages. Check confirmation before assuming a timed-out run sent nothing or retrying it.

Network setup: This node uses solana. See connections for RPC setup and Test mode for network selection.
