Mint token
Create a Token-2022 mint
Mint token creates a new Token-2022 mint and can issue an initial supply to an owner. It creates a token definition; it does not list that token on a trading venue.
Try it step by step#
- Use devnet with a funded test payer and choose the owner that should receive the initial supply.
- Set a test name and symbol, Decimals to 6, and Initial Supply to 10.
- Run once and inspect mint, tokenAccount, amountRaw, and transactionSignature. Use Token balance to read the created account.
What to expect#
With 6 decimals, an initial supply of 10 represents amountRaw: "10000000". The mint and token account addresses are created by this run.
Things to check#
- Decimals controls the smallest representable fraction. The supplied amount cannot have more fractional digits than that.
- URI points to token metadata; entering a URL does not upload a file for you.
- Creating another run creates another mint. Save the returned mint address if you want to use that token later.

Network setup: This node uses solana. See connections for RPC setup and Test mode for network selection.
Parameters#
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| RPC URL | {{global.chains.solana.rpcUrl}} | Configured for Solana in workspace RPC settings. |
| Commitment | confirmed | How far a Solana block must be confirmed before its data is used. |
| Payer Wallet | {{global.main_wallet}} | Signing wallet that pays the transaction and account-creation costs. |
| Initial Owner | {{global.main_wallet}} | Wallet that receives the initial supply of the new token. |
| Token Name | — | Display name for the token being created. |
| Symbol | — | Short token symbol shown with its metadata. |
| Metadata URI | (empty) | URL of the token metadata. This field does not upload the metadata for you. |
| Decimals | 6 | Number of fractional digits supported by the token. Use the mint’s actual value for transfers. |
| Initial Supply | 0 | Initial token quantity in display units, before conversion to the smallest units. |
| Enable Mint Close Authority | false | Lets the payer close the mint after its supply is zero. Useful for disposable or lifecycle-managed mints. |
| Signing Layer | auto | Signing provider to use. Auto selects an available provider for this run. |
| Skip Preflight | false | Skip the RPC preflight check before sending. Keep this off while learning. |
| Confirm | false | Wait for transaction confirmation after submission. |
| On failure | stop | Choose whether a failed execution stops the workflow or only ends this path. |
| Retry attempts | 0 | How many additional attempts to make after the first failure. |
