Wait
Pause before continuing
Wait delays one path and then forwards the same data. Use it to leave a short pause between actions within a run.
Try it step by step#
- Connect Start → Variable → Wait → Variable.
- In the first Variable, set message to Ready. Set Wait’s Seconds to 2.
- In the last Variable, read {{message}}. Run once and watch the two-second pause before the last step.
What to expect#
Wait forwards the original incoming object after the delay. It does not change message or create a new workflow run.
Things to check#
- Seconds may be fractional or zero, up to 86,400. Negative values fail.
- Stopping the workflow cancels the wait. A paused path needs its runtime to remain running.
- Adding Wait to several concurrent paths does not turn them into one shared request queue.
