RPC method calls a Solana RPC method directly. Use it when you need a response that a dedicated node does not expose, and know the method’s expected parameters.

Try it step by step#

For a read-only first call, choose getSlot and enter [] in Params JSON.
Run and inspect result, which contains the method’s returned value.
For another method, follow its parameter order in the Solana RPC reference.

What to expect#

getSlot returns a slot value inside result. raw contains the RPC response envelope; its shape differs from a dedicated balance node’s output.

Things to check#

Params JSON must be an array, even when there is only one argument.
Different methods return different shapes. Inspect a result before writing expressions for it.
The method list also includes operations such as sendTransaction. Selecting an RPC method is not inherently read-only.

Retry attempts	`0`	How many additional attempts to make after the first failure.
