ETH balance
Read an Ethereum wallet balance
ETH balance reads the native ETH held by an Ethereum address. Reading a public address does not require signing a transaction.
Try it step by step#
- Choose Cloud RPC and enable Test mode for a first read of test data.
- Connect Start → ETH balance. Enter a public Ethereum address or select a wallet variable.
- Run and inspect eth, wei, and network before using the balance in a later condition.
What to expect#
The output contains the address and balance in both ETH and wei. For an illustrative balance of 1 ETH, eth is "1" and wei is "1000000000000000000". Live values depend on the address and network.
Things to check#
- ETH and wei are decimal strings to preserve precision. Avoid converting large wei values to JavaScript Number.
- This reads native ETH, not ERC-20 token balances.
- A network-mismatch error means the configured RPC endpoint serves a different chain from the selected network.

Parameters#
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Wallet or address | {{global.main_wallet}} | The selected wallet’s Ethereum account is used automatically. |
| On failure | stop | Choose whether a failed execution stops the workflow or only ends this path. |
| Retry attempts | 0 | How many additional attempts to make after the first failure. |
On failure: Choices: Stop workflow (stop), Continue (continue). Available under More options.
