Iterate a checklist

Process three items from a Global, then continue once every item path has finished.

Walk through the workflow#

  1. Import the workflow. Its items Global contains Plan, Build, and Review.
  2. Inspect Iterate: Items reads {{global.items}} as an array. Its item output processes each checklist entry, while done waits for all item paths to finish.
  3. Run once. The Variable node on the item path executes three times, producing a message for Plan, Build, and Review.
  4. Inspect the final Variable node on the done path. Its output reports completed: 3. Add an item to the items Global and run again.

Check execution counts#

The item path should produce Complete: Plan, Complete: Build, and Complete: Review. The summary path runs once and returns {"completed":3} after the item paths finish.

Make one change#

Set items to an empty array. Expect no item messages and {"completed":0}. This shows why a final summary belongs on done.

If it does not match#

Ensure items is an array in Globals and Items contains the exact expression {{global.items}}. Iterate’s done output counts items; it does not collect the messages produced downstream. See Iterate.
